What we mean by Digital Signature Certificate ?

A digital signature is exactly what it reads like, a signature which is digital in nature. It uses an advanced mathematical technique to check the authenticity and integrity of digital messages and documents. Digital Signatures creates a virtual fingerprint that is unique to a person and entity and are used to identify the users and protect information in digital messages or documents.

The Information Technology Act, 2000 provides for use of Digital Signatures on the documents submitted in electronic form in order to ensure the security and authenticity of the documents filed electronically. This is the only secure and authentic way that a document can be submitted electronically. A digital signature is the electronic signature duly issued by a certifying authority that shows the authority of the person signing the same. It is an electronic analogue of a written signature. A person requiring a Digital Signature Certificate can approach any of the Certifying authorities identified by the MCA for issuance of Digital Signature Certificate.

The Process of Digital Signature Certificate :-

  • Documentation :- We need some documents mentioned below and some other basic details to initiate the Registration. 

   *(Photograph of Applicant,ID-Proof (PAN card), Address Proof -Aadhar Card, Driving license, Voter ID card etc.)                                                    NOTE :- For video verification original documents must be handy.

  • Submission of Application :- Once we validated the documents and information submitted, we will submit the application to the Government authorities for approval. We will also be needing additional documents or clarification if required.
  • Verification of Applicant :- For verification of Applicant we need mobile OTP’s which will come on your phone and on your email-ID and video verification is required.
  • Approval :- After validating all the documents by Government officer, the officer will grant the permission of issuing Digital Signature Certification.
